Mel's Favorites

One of my friends had a post about some her favorite things, and I thought that would be fun to write something like that.
So here is a list of the top 5 items that I just love.
Enjoy!

1. Diet Coke....I love it, and I crave it all the time! There is nothing more refreshing than a cold Diet Coke any time of the day, and believe it or not I think regular Coke is nothing short of disgusting.

2. Yoga pants...I love Yoga pants, when I'm hanging out at home and running a few errands there is nothing better than Yoga pants. Now, not the kind that are sloppy but the cute ones like these..

3. This one is not a thing, but a website that I must check everyday and I do.
You should go and check it out, this lady is amazing she post amazing ways you get deals everyday. She is always updating the website throughout the day, so you never miss out on a good deal. If you know me, you know this girl will not pass on a good deal!

4. Crocs for my child. These made it on my list because they are so practical. For Winter they make these that crocs that are lined with fur inside, my daughter just loves them and wants to wear them EVERYDAY. If you have kids, and you have not gotten some of these awesome shoes you mush. I promise your child will love them. My dad just got these for Madison for Christmas and she loves them.

5. Vera Bradley...I just love her designs and her girlie prints. I also like that you can trow them in the washer and it comes out like new. My husband gets me a purse for every holiday, see I used to love COACH but after having kids, spending $500 on a purse is just not feasible. So I discovered Vera Bradley and I just love it.

Christmas

Well I gotta admit, I have got to get better at this blogging thing! I need to set a time and just DO IT. Well it has been kinda busy, but we are all busy and somehow my amazing friends are still able to maintain their blogs. So from now on I need to do 1 post a week at least :)

Here in the Webster household we have been busy with this season, having a 4 1/2 year old makes it that much more fun. We have made a gingerbread house (pics to come), made chocolate dipped pretzels, gone to see Christmas lights at this outdoor mall, watched Christmas movies over and over, sipping hot chocolate with marshmallows, and of course listening to Christmas music. This year I have made it my objective to really let my child know the REAL reason for this season. We have talked about Jesus and the manger every day, Maddie is so interested in it and I love it. We have really enjoyed our little girl this year!

She has been to see Santa, and she wants a Nintendo DS. Can you believe it? I thought that was what 10 year old ask for? Well we went black Friday shopping, and found a great deal. Was it bad for me to get it? I'm feeling really guilty because...well she did ask Santa.

I can't wait to post some pictures of our house decorated, but my lovely cord for my camera is MIA. I hoping it turns out, or I might have to order one from Ebay or something.

I hope everyones Christmas season, is going amazing!

Fall Fun

It has been a really fun fall season so far, we did lots of stuff. Maddie was a "Fairy Princess Barbie" whatever that is, she came up with that on her own..oh and we have more candy in this house (good thing I'm not a big fan, I prefer salty things) We also got a chance to go trick or treat at Brandon's school which was pretty awesome, and they handed out was chocolate and again not a big fan so no temptation for me :) We are getting ready at the Webster household to bust out the Christmas stuff, is it too early? I really don't care, I was listening to Christmas music yesterday and it put me in the mood. If you know me I rock out to Christmas music right after Thanksgiving non-stop, but this year it started way early. Oh and just in case you were wondering I do not, repeat do not like that "Christmas Shoes" song! I refuse to listen to it! I don't know how I got started talking about Christmas, but anyway Fall..yes I love it and this weekend I'm going to try to make Apple Nachos, we'll see how they turn out, I will keep you posted. I hope everyone is enjoying this awesome Fall weather.

Updates

Well I know it has been a while, but I know you understand. Where do I begin...well a few weeks ago I had a little pain on right side by my hip so, I called the nurse line to make sure everything was ok. I know you are thinking, why? no big deal it's just a little pain, and trust me I have a high tolerance for pain, but the reason was because I was 4 weeks pregnant. Yes, we are so excited and Maddie can not wait. Back to the nurse call....the nurse told me to take myself to the ER, and of course being the stubborn person that I'm I told her that I was fine. Well the pain got worse so I went to ER, and they informed me that I needed my appendix out..yikes! I had never had any major surgery, so I was a little scared because of course I'm pregnant. We prayed and God took care of us, and he protected the baby and I had a speedy recovery.
I have lots of Halloween pictures to come, I just have to my camera cable.

Family Fun

The last two weeks have been busy for the Websters, we went to Disney's Princess on Ice, a pumpkin patch, apple orchard, and Youngs Dairy. Maddie was so exited for all of it, except she did not like all the dirt at the orchard ( go figure). Ohio has had beautiful fall weather for us this year, and we have truly been able to appreciate fall and all the colors of the trees. Don't take me wrong Colorado had beautiful falls, but you can not appreciate the colors and all the trees around you so close to you, I know in Colorado you have to drive to the mountains to experience it at it's best. Every time we turn around I tell Brandon "look that's a postcard picture" it is just so pretty. The leaves are gold, red, orange, and wait for it..not brown or at least not yet. Disney on Ice was all that we expected and more, Maddie was screaming when her favorite princess came out, of course that is Ariel. She kept waving and telling me that she was the prettiest princess that she has ever seen. I love this age because she still thinks all of that is real, and really gets into it. The show was great, I recommend anyone with young children to take them. We were getting ready to leave when, you all know you can't leave that place without buying something, and of course we bought one of the snow cones in a Mickey Mouse cup which was $10 cheaper than the Tinkerbell! I tell you those Disney folk know how to market their stuff right so the kids want everything, and it's all SO expensive. At the end of the day you keep convincing yourself that it was all worth it because it created a memory, let's hope that is right. We also had a great time at the pumpkin patch, it was a really nice day! The weather was perfect. Maddie picked out pumpkins and of course at the same place they sale homemade ice cream which was delicious, and calorie free NOT. We had such a lovely weekend, I wish every weekend was like this just fun.

Gymnastics!!

We started tumbling this week, and our little girl could not be more excited! She looked so bid, where has all this time gone? I feel like it was just yesterday that we brought her home. She did great for her first class. She struggled a little bit on the back handspring training mat, she told the coach "nope I will not do that!" finally she decided to try it and she loved it! Well out of all things, I hope she keeps interest in this hobby because she looked to cute doing it. What can I say? I'm her number one fan:)

It feels like fall

Well it sure felt like fall here today, it was 68 degrees here! We felt it was the perfect day for a walk, we enjoyed it so much, we walk to the pond in our neighborhood and watched people fish, watched about a million squirrels along the walk, yes you read it right a million. Everywhere you go there is at least 5 squirrels to be spotted just about 6 feet away. We have truly enjoyed our Sunday, I can't wait to watch all the leaves change colors. It's one of my favorite seasons! Maddie and I are going to attempt to make a pumpkin pie this week, we will see how that goes I'll keep you posted. She says she will show me how to make one since this summer she made one with her great grandma. We will just have to see how much she really knows, I'm sure she remembers the entire recipe!

Finally Moved In!

Sorry I have not posted for a while, but you all can understand it was been really busy around here. Anyhow I'm back for good! We are all finally moved in, and box free. I have to tell you I was a wreck the first week I was here, I guess it really hit me that I have moved away from my family and friends. I think for the first time since this moving that I actually cried!(If you know me, you know I don't do that often)
Do you ever feel that sometimes we just fuss no matter how many blessings God has given us? Well I know I have been fussing a lot about this move, our house (which is smaller than we expected!), moving away from our church, friends, family, and so on...Well this last week God has really shown me how many blessings he has poured on my family during this season. First of all, I have found a good friend that we knew in Colorado and she lives right next to us, I'm able to stay at home with my daughter, and we found a good church. When I put it all into perspective, I really have been blessed and need to be happy! I really like the city we live in and the people are really nice. I guess I just need to stop looking at the negative and focus on the positive!

How am I going to explain this?

Well I'm packing everything today to leave tomorrow at 5 am, and to tell you the truth I'm getting easily distracted..ughh.. I hate it when that happens! Well we came to NC with 2 big pieces of luggage and 2 duffel bags, and there was plenty of space left, just in case I decided to do a little shopping while I'm here...as many of you know, I'm the SHOPPER of course always for bargains, my father in law makes fun of me because he says I always find everything for $3 or less. Well I have a problem, Maddie and my stuff does not fit in all that luggage, now Brandon knows that there was space left in there when we left CO. Oh man, I can't hide all my purchases! All I can say is that it was a good deal. Wish me luck on that conversation :) Hey but at least he will have a cute looking family.

Jumping Around

Well today we went to Raleigh about 45 mins away, to a jump house warehouse per say. We had so much fun, we were there for about 3 hours and did not want to leave, however something crazy happend. There was a lady sitting next to me who I started to talk to, if you know me you know I can't sit in silence too long. Well turns out that this lady's husband is in OTS and he graduated about 2 classes before my husband will. Talk about God putting people in you way to make things easier, well she gave me a few pointers on what it will be like to be an officer's wife, and what to wear to certain events, where to stay away from in Maxwell AFB, and what to avoid in the Air Force. Well the hours past, and I was so exited that I got to make a new friend that has a lot of things in common with me.

So Ready!

So many of you know that I have been in NC for the summer, while my husband is in AL for OTS. Well this summer journey is coming to an end, and yes believe it or not I'm a little sad to leave because I have really enjoyed spending this time with my in laws. In the other hand I'm so exited that I finally get to see my awesome husband, I really missed him (did I say that allready?) Maddie and I get to drive for 10.5 hours this week to AL, yep everyone needs to pray for me ;) Like I was saying I think this summer has been the most eventful summer in my life, we went to Disney World, the beach, Great Wolf Lodge, and of course drove all across the country to get to our soon to be new home in OH. I have some great memories, and of course Maddie does too! I know she has enjoyed spending time with her grandparents and they just love her so much, she is one loved grandchild. I'm truly blessed to have such great in laws!

I know it has been a really long time, but here it is my first post in over 2 years. I promise that I will be better at this.
